Besonders interessant für die Teilnehmenden: Der Landkreis Darmstadt-Dieburg realisiert einen hoch energieeffizienten Neubau im Passivhaus-Standard mit viel PV und lässt auf demselben Gelände ein bestehendes Gebäude mit Passivhaus-Komponenten von Grund auf energetisch sanieren. Heute Passivhaus on Tour in Weiterstadt. Der Fokus lag auf Schulen in Holzbauweise - in Theorie und Praxis. Erst gab es aufschlussreiche Fachvorträge u.a. zu Le­bens­zy­kluskosten, Wär­me­ver­sor­gung und Er­folgs­fak­to­ren. Anschließend konnten die Teilnehmenden die beiden Schulgebäude direkt nebenan besichtigen. Die Vortragenden haben klar belegt: 1. Energieeffizienz lohnt sich. 2. Holzbau bietet viele Vorteile. Dachboden selber dämmen! Die Dämmung der obersten Geschossdecke ist ein Paradebeispiel für einen gleichzeitig einfach umzusetzenden und preiswerten Wärmeschutz. Es gilt: Viel hilft viel. Möglichst dicke Dämmstärken lohnen sich auf der obersten Geschossdecke. Mindestens 25 cm sollten es sein, Platz ist meist genug vorhanden. Bei den Dämmstoffen gibt es eine große Auswahl.
